I have some pet quails as part of my urban farming project. I spoil my little hens, and I create my own food blends, complete with different type of crumbles, wild bird seeds, freeze dried worms, and calcium supplements. This container is perfect size! It's portable, easily carried to the coop. The lid is very very air tight. I have some flour containers that look exactly like this, and this one has a tighter fitting lid. The plastic is thick and durable. It comes with a cute scoop. The part I love most is that there is measurements on the side of the container. I didn't need to use a measuring cup this time! I just used the measurements on the side and put in all the right ratios. I just had to dump them out in an old metal bowl, mix it well, and then dump it all back into the container. I didn't even have to label it as it comes pre-labeled – complete with a cute little bird image.

I have gotten into a bit of a codependent relationship with the birds outside my deck. They get cranky if I don't help them get through the winter with seed, and I enjoy seeing them there. To keep the seeds near, I need a water and air tight container like this one. It is reasonable in size and fits a full bag of seed. It is nice, substantial plastic that is
durable enough for the weather around here. (Mostly rain and sun.) The scoop is what makes it work best for me. I don't know if it is a great value. I think I could get a container for less, but I like the bird decoration that tells all comers what is inside, and the scoop. Funtional and durable. I like it.
